“Angela” came to us as a divorced mother of one. She was 11 weeks pregnant with an ex-boyfriend insisting that she have an abortion. While she didn’t want to take the life of her pre-born child, she was weakening under his constant pressure and badgering. She found our contact information and called, mistakenly thinking we would help her arrange an abortion.
“Angela” had no support system. No one to turn to for advice or counsel. No doctor to care for her and her child. No one to help. When she talked with one of our client advocates she was assured of God’s love and care for her and of our concern for her well-being. We gave her the name of a clinic at which she could seek pre-natal care. She was surprised by the unexpected love and concern being shown to her—and she began to listen.
Fast forward a few weeks...
We have since heard from “Angela”—she was on the way to a doctor appointment. The next chapter in the life of “Angela” and her small family has yet to be written. We are thankful that we had the opportunity to help her re-write part of it and share Jesus' love for her and her baby.
